Complete Checklist for Establishing a Computer/IT Training Institute under NSDA

(For Skills Training Provider – STP Registration)

Introduction

Developing a skilled workforce has become one of Bangladesh’s highest national priorities in the era of digital transformation, the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR), and technology-driven employment. As the demand for competent professionals in Information Technology and digital skills continues to grow, the Government of Bangladesh, through the National Skills Development Authority (NSDA), has established a standardized competency-based training framework to ensure quality, relevance, and international recognition of skills development programs.

Any individual, educational institution, company, NGO, or organization intending to establish a Skills Training Provider (STP) under NSDA must meet a comprehensive set of requirements relating to legal compliance, infrastructure, human resources, training management, financial capacity, and quality assurance. Proper planning and systematic preparation are essential not only for obtaining STP Registration but also for achieving subsequent Course Accreditation and maintaining long-term institutional quality.

This handbook has been prepared as a practical implementation checklist for establishing a Computer and Information Technology Training Institute under the NSDA framework. Conclusion

Establishing a successful training institute involves far more than obtaining an official registration. Long-term success depends on maintaining high-quality training standards, employing competent instructors, providing modern learning facilities, implementing effective institutional management, and continuously responding to the evolving needs of industry. STP Registration should therefore be viewed as the foundation of a quality assurance journey rather than its final destination.

By following this comprehensive checklist and preparing each requirement systematically, institutions can significantly improve their readiness for NSDA registration, Course Accreditation, quality inspections, and sustainable operations. A well-planned institute will also be better positioned to build partnerships with industry, deliver competency-based training, and enhance the employability of its graduates.

As policies, competency standards, and regulatory requirements continue to evolve, institutions should regularly review the latest NSDA guidelines and adopt a culture of continuous improvement. Commitment to quality, innovation, transparency, and lifelong learning will enable a training institute to earn credibility, achieve sustainable growth, and make a meaningful contribution to Bangladesh’s national skills development agenda.
