Sample Affidavit for Land Ownership in Bangladesh

In Bangladesh, affidavits are often required for property transactions, ownership disputes, and other legal documentation. I, NAZRIN SULTANA, Wife of Md. Shafiqul Alam, Mother’s Name: Momena Khatun, Permanent Address: Village: Sonarpara, P.O. Shaplapur, P.S. Sadar, Dist: Mymensingh, Bangladesh, by nationality Bangladeshi, do hereby solemnly affirm and declare as follows:

  1. That I am the lawful owner of 3.0 kathas of residential land situated at Plot No. 24, Green Park Residential Area, Uttara, Dhaka, purchased on 15 January 2015.

  2. That the said land was purchased at a value of BDT 45,00,000 (Forty-Five Lac Taka only), and the payment was made in full to the previous owner.

  3. That the above-mentioned property is free from any encumbrances, mortgages, or disputes.

  4. That I have not transferred, mortgaged, or created any claim on the said property in favor of any person or institution.

  5. That I have been in peaceful possession and enjoyment of the said property since the date of purchase.

  6. That I shall bear full responsibility for the proper maintenance and legal use of the said property.

  7. That I hereby undertake to produce the registered deed, khatian, and tax payment receipts whenever required by the authorities.

  8. That the statements made above are true to the best of my knowledge and belief.
